I purchased this tea called 'berry blast' and was wondering if it is okay to use for Iced Tea. I purchased the tea from argotea.com. It has dried berries in it and tea leaves. I'm sure it would taste fine, I'm wondering about how healthy the tea is after 2-3 days in the fridge. I'm thinking bacteria or spoiling (if tea actually spoils). Any thoughts?

That sounds good!!!! I am not sure how long you can keep something like that. I am a stickler on having things really fresh---my hubby gets really frustrated with me on that one--but I pitch anything that I think is a day or two old. I can't stand cloudiness or scum on top of anything. FRESH, FRESH, FRESH for me!!!!!

  3. Berry Blast?, havnt heard of that, but I have had other berry flavored teas, and some strait berry infusions. They were all good iced.
I am no health expert, but I dont think it is any less healthy after a couple of days, just as long as it doesnt spoil. To paraphrase SassySis, the fresher the better. I have had tea spoil, if it is left on the counter or in the fridge for to long. On the counter in a couple of days and then it grows mold. In the fridge its hard to say how long it kept before it spoiled, we left town on vacation for a couple of weeks, and when we came back it tasted bad, and lots of scum in the pitcher. I am not sure if it is spoiling or just taking on a bad taste.

Around my place, when it gets hot, a gallon of iced tea will barely last one day. We plow through the iced tea in the hot summer days like it is going out of style. You will have to let us know how the iced Berry Blast is when iced. What brand is that tea, or is that the brand?

  4. You know what else is really good for ice tea is Black Lychee tea. Its cured in rooms filled with steaming lychees. Its heavy-bodied, sweet and slightly fruity. Its delicious iced. A really good tea is a FooJoy Lichee black tea. It good!

  5. I love Lychee black tea as well. I have found that when it is hot outside, that a cup of hot lychee black tea is still refreshing, not to mention even more refreshing when it is iced.
